This Privacy Policy describes how Nurse Decoded Inc. (“Nurse Decoded”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information.

We do not collect government-issued identification numbers.
We do not collect employer information unless voluntarily provided in open-ended communication.

B. Payment Information

Payments are processed through third-party providers including:

  • Square
  • Afterpay (via Square installment processing)
  • QuickBooks
  • Eventbrite (event registration platform)

We do not store full credit card numbers or banking details on our systems. Payment information is governed by the privacy policies of the applicable payment processors.

C. SMS Communications

If you opt in to receive SMS messages, we collect your mobile phone number and messaging preferences. SMS communications are delivered through Mailchimp or related messaging providers.

D. Booking and Virtual Platforms

When booking consultations or attending virtual sessions, we may collect information through:

  • Koalendar (consultation scheduling)
  • Zoom (virtual workshops and webinars; sessions are not recorded)
  • Ooma (business phone communications)

E. Surveys and Feedback

We may collect personal information provided in:

  • Post-workshop evaluations
  • Course feedback forms
  • Surveys or questionnaires

F. Website Tracking Technologies

Our website may use tracking technologies such as the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure advertising performance and improve marketing relevance. These technologies may collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and website interaction data.

This information is used in aggregated form and does not include personal health information.

SMS Communications

By providing your mobile number and opting in, you consent to receive automated text messages regarding workshops, certification reminders, event follow-ups, and related services.

  • Consent is not a condition of purchase
  • You may opt out at any time by replying “STOP”
  • You may reply “HELP” for assistance

If you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send non-promotional administrative communications related to your registration or certification.

8. RETENTION OF YOUR DATA

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.

Financial records may be retained for up to seven (7) years in accordance with Canadian tax and accounting requirements.

Certification and training completion records may be retained for compliance, verification, and audit purposes.

When personal information is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Some of our service providers may process personal information outside of Canada, including in the United States.

Where personal information is transferred outside Canada, we take reasonable measures to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with Canadian privacy laws.
